From time to time, Drawboard Support may ask for your logs to try and solve problems.
Logs are very useful when you are experiencing all kinds of issues in your Windows app as it provides us with more information about the state of the app. There are 2 methods for getting the logs:
1st Method
Steps:
1. Go to the Settings > Miscellaneous
2. Toggle on the Log events to a file
3. Attempt to reproduce the issue
4. Go to this folder: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Drawboard.DrawboardPDF_gqbn7fs4pywxm\LocalState\v2.
Tips: Simply copy the directory and paste it to your file explorer file path. Please replace the `YourUserName` with your real user name.
5. You will find the Log.dat file in that folder.
6. You can then send that file by submitting a request: https://support.drawboard.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
2nd Method
(use this method if the app is crashing on start up)
Steps:
1. When this issue happens close the app
2. Press windows key + R
3. Type: drawboardpdf:EnableFileLogging=true
4. Wait for the app to start
5. Attempt to reproduce the issue
4. Go to this folder: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Drawboard.DrawboardPDF_gqbn7fs4pywxm\LocalState\v2.
Tips: Simply copy the directory and paste it to your file explorer file path. Please replace the `YourUserName` with your real user name.
5. You will find the Log.dat file in that folder.
6. You can then send that file by submitting a request: https://support.drawboard.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
