Learn how to optimize your PDF viewing experience, especially when handling large documents with many annotations. Follow these tips to enhance performance and resolve issues like blurry text.
Improving App Performance
If your windows app is running slowly, it may be due to high-quality rendering of pages within the canvas range. This feature ensures pages load in high quality as you scroll. Disabling it can improve performance, but pages may take longer to appear when you navigate to them.
To adjust this setting:
Go to Settings > Miscellaneous > Toggle OFF Render nearby pages
Your windows app may also slow down due to background rendering of pages within the canvas range. This feature helps pages load quickly but at a lower quality. Disabling it can improve performance, but pages may take longer to appear when you navigate to them.
To adjust this setting:
Go to Settings > Miscellaneous > Toggle OFF Render background segments
How to improve blurry text in your PDF
You can enhance text clarity by enabling Subpixel Rendering. This feature utilizes the individual red, green, and blue subpixels of your screen to create smoother, sharper text. However, enabling it may slightly reduce rendering performance.
To enable this setting:
Go to Settings > View & Layout > Document rendering options > Toggle ON Subpixel rendering
Additionally, you can fine-tune the text sharpness to your preference by adjusting the Text clarity slider.
