How to use Text Review Tools

In this article, we will share an overview of our Text Review Tools. These tools help you to best review and prepare your documents for completion.

We will cover:

  • Text Highlighter
  • Text Underline
  • Text Squiggly
  • Text Strikethrough
  • Text Review Removal

Text Highlighter

The Text Highlighter allows you to highlight sections of PDF text. To do this you need to:

  1. Select the Text Highlighter tool from the tool menu
  2. Choose the color and the opacity
  3. With your pen, mouse or finger drag the tool over the text you would like to highlight
  4. Watch as the text is highlighted with the color you chose.

Text Underline

The Text Underline tool allows you to underline sections of PDF text. To do this you need to:

  1. Select the Text Underline tool from the tool menu
  2. Choose the color and the opacity
  3. With your pen, mouse or finger drag the tool over the text you would like to underline
  4. Watch as the text is underlined with the color you chose.

Text Squiggly

The Text Squiggly tool allows you to underline sections of PDF text with a squiggly line to indicate errors in spelling and grammar. To do this you need to:

  1. Select the Text Squiggly tool from the tool menu
  2. Choose the color and the opacity
  3. With your pen, mouse or finger drag the tool over the text you would like to underline
  4. Watch as the text is underlined with a squiggly line in the color you chose.

Text Strikethrough

The Text Strikethrough tool allows you to strike out sections of PDF text to help communicate text that should not be there or needs to be removed. To do this you need to:

  1. Select the Text Strikethrough tool from the tool menu
  2. Choose the color and the opacity
  3. With your pen, mouse or finger drag the tool over the text you would like to strikethrough
  4. Watch as the text is struck out with a line in the color you chose.

Text Review Removal

The Text Review Removal tool allows you to remove any of the above text reviews from your document. Note: This tool is not yet available in the Web app. To remove Text Review annotations in the Web app, use the Eraser tool.

To do this you need to:

  1. Select the Text Review Removal tool from the tool menu
  2. With your pen, mouse or finger drag the tool over the text review you would like to remove
  3. Watch as the text review annotations are removed
