When sharing a document there are two levels of access you can assign to the user:
- Reader access - this limits the other users to only being able to read document and not add any annotations
- Collaborator access - this gives the other users the ability to add annotations on the document.
Sometimes you might want to change the access for the people you have shared a document with. You might want to upgrade their access to a collaborator, downgrade their access to a reader or completely remove their access.
Change permissions from the dashboard
- Click on a shared document in your dashboard
- This will bring up the preview pane
- Click the share button
- In the top left corner, click permissions
- Click the dropdown next to the collaborator's name
- This will allow you to upgrade, downgrade or remove a users access to the document
Change permissions from the canvas
- Navigate to the document on the canvas
- Click the share button at the top of the canvas
- This will bring up the permissions and share modal
- Click the dropdown next to the collaborator's name
- This will allow you to upgrade, downgrade or remove a users access to the document.
