If you see the following error messages:
- App installation failed with error message catastrophic failure (0x8000ffff)
- App installation failed with error message: Appinstaller operation failed with error code 0x80D03002. Detail: Unknown error (0x80d03002)
Steps to resolve the issue
Follow the steps below:
- Download the MSIX app installer via our download page (https://www.drawboard.com/download)
- Search PowerShell on your start menu
- Right click and run as administrator
- Paste this command on the PowerShell:
Add-AppxPackage -AppInstallerFile "File path to the app installer"
Note: Replace the file path with your actual file path. E.g. C:\Users\user1\Desktop\MyApp.appinstaller" - Click Enter
What if the steps above doesn't solve the issue?
If the issue persist, make sure you don't have the following on your device:
- Have the Drawboard PDF app already installed in your device
- No malware on your device
- Drivers are up to date
- Drivers are not faulty
- Unnecessary Drivers or Processes
- System date and time are correct
- Corrupted Windows Store Cache
- Missing or Corrupted System Files
- Corrupted Registry Entries
