The Preview Panel is a great way to get some quick insights into a document. There are many elements to a document that the preview panel outlines for you as well as some key actions for your document.
Local Documents
For local documents you will see the following information:
- A thumbnail preview of the first page
- Document name
- Document size on disk
- Date of last edit
- Director of the file on disk (clicking this will take you to the file in the File Explorer)
- Date of document creation
You will also be able to perform the following actions
- Open the file
- Upload and share on Drawboard's Cloud
- Combine or Merge the document
- Remove the document from the app dashboard's recent list
Drawboard's Cloud Documents
For cloud documents, you will see the following information.
- A thumbnail preview of the first page
- Document Name
- Document Size on disk
- Date of last edit
- Date of when the document was uploaded to Drawboard's Cloud
You will also be able to perform the following actions
- Open the document from Drawboard's Cloud.
- Share the document as a Drawboard Cloud document
- Rename the document as it exists in Drawboard's Cloud
- Export PDF - this exports it out of Drawboard's Cloud and onto your local device as a local document (link to article). The document will continue to exist in Drawboard's Cloud
- Remove the document from Drawboard's Cloud. This will permanently delete the document. If you want to continue using the document outside of Drawboard's Cloud, you should export it first.
