The Procore integration lets your team bring drawings and documents from Procore into Drawboard Projects to mark them up and review them together. When a new version is published in Procore, Drawboard lets you know so you can bring it in when you’re ready. Marked-up documents can be published back to Procore as a new version or a new file, and marked-up drawings can be published into the Procore document repository.
Available on: Growth and Enterprise plans.
Before you start
- A Procore Company Admin needs to install the Drawboard Projects app in Procore.
- A Drawboard Organization Admin needs to connect your Drawboard account to your Procore company.
- Once connected, everyone in your Drawboard account can use the integration without signing in to Procore.
What’s supported

| Drawings | Yes | Yes | Yes, as a Document |

Understanding sync status
Procore Drawings
Every drawing imported from Procore shows a sync status in the drawing list. The Procore icon next to each status indicates which integration it refers to.

Status | Meaning |
|---|
Current | This drawing matches the current version in Procore. |
Update available | A newer version exists in Procore. Import to get the latest. |
Source removed | The original drawing no longer exists in Procore. |
Procore Documents
Every document imported from Procore shows a sync status in the document list. The Procore icon next to each status indicates which integration it refers to.

Status | Meaning |
|---|
In sync | This drawing matches the latest version in Procore. |
Update available | A newer version exists in Procore. Import to get the latest. |
Unpublished changes | This drawing has markups that have not been sent to Procore yet. |
Source removed | The original drawing no longer exists in Procore. |
Syncing with Procore
The Pending Changes indicator at the top of the drawing/document list shows all items that need attention, including those with updates available from Procore and those with unpublished local markups.

- Click the Pending Changes indicator at the top of the drawing list.
- Review the list of drawings and their current status.
- Select an action:
- Click Import updates to bring in all drawings/documents with newer Procore versions
- Click Publish changes to send all documents with unpublished markups back to Procore
- Click Sync all to handle both in one pass.
- Items that require a decision (see below) will prompt you before proceeding.
Importing a new version when you have local markups
When a drawing/document has both a newer version available in Procore and existing local markups, Drawboard Projects asks how you want to proceed before importing.
Import and retain markups
Get the latest version from Procore, with your existing markups carried over.
Import and start fresh
Get the latest version from Procore. Your existing markups will remain on the previous revision and can be promoted manually as required.
Skip for now
Leave this drawing/document on its current version and return to it later.
Note: The previous revision always remains accessible in Drawboard Projects for comparison.
Publishing back to Procore
Publishing documents back to Procore
When a review is complete, an admin can publish marked-up documents back to Procore as a new version.
- Click the Pending Changes indicator.
- Review the documents showing Unpublished changes.
- Click Publish as new revision or use Sync all to publish alongside any pending imports.
- The document is written to Procore as a new version, visible in the file's version history to the wider project team.
Publishing requires an admin role. This ensures that in-progress annotations are never sent to Procore before the review is ready.
Note: If a file is locked in Procore, publishing directly will be rejected. In this case, Drawboard Projects will offer to publish the drawing as a new file instead.
Publishing a drawing to a new location
At the end of a review milestone, you can publish a copy of a marked-up drawing to a different location in Procore, such as a reviews folder or a consultant issue package. This creates a standalone record of the review, separate from the live drawing register.
- Open the drawing's more options menu (...).
- Select Publish as new file.
- Choose a destination folder in Procore.
- Optionally edit the file description. This is pre-filled with the drawing name and date.
- Confirm to publish the copy.
The original drawing in Procore is not affected.
Drawing/Document list per-item options
Each drawing/document in the list has additional Procore options available from the more options menu (...). The options available depend on the sync status and whether you are viewing the drawing or document list.

Option | Description |
|---|
Import from Procore | Get the latest version of this drawing/document from Procore. |
Publish as new revision | Send this document and its markups back to Procore as the latest version. |
Publish as new file | Publish a copy to a new location in Procore as a review record. |
View in Procore | Open the source file in Procore in a new web browser tab |

Frequently asked questions
Which plans include this integration?
Growth and Enterprise
We're an architecture/engineering firm or subcontractor working in the GC's Procore. Can we use this?
Yes. Ask the GC to install the Drawboard app on their Procore company. Then your Drawboard Projects org admin can configure the integration inside Projects.
Who can connect the Procore integration?
A Procore Company Admin needs to install the Drawboard Projects app in Procore. Once that's done, only an org admin in Drawboard Projects can set up and manage the integration inside Projeccts. Once connected, project admins and workspace admins can import from Procore.
Do reviewers need a Procore license?
No. Only the org admin connecting the hub needs Procore access. Reviewers only need access to Drawboard Projects. They can mark up, raise tasks, and join live sessions without a Procore license.
Does the integration work on iPad and Windows? Yes. Setup happens on web, but importing, syncing, and marking up work on web, iPad, and Windows. Once imported, a drawing behaves like any other Drawboard Projects drawing.
What happens to my markups when a new version arrives from Procore?
You choose. Import and retain markups carries your markups over to the new version. Import and start fresh leaves them on the previous revision, where they remain accessible.
What if the original file is removed from Procore?
The drawing will show a status of Source removed. Your local copy and any markups remain intact in Drawboard Projects. You can publish the drawing as a new file to Forma if needed.
Do trade partners need a paid license?
No, you can invite them as free guests, so they'll be able to review and mark up project drawings and documents.
Can we have more than one Drawboard project per Procore job?
Yes. For example, one Drawboard project per trade package or design review, each with its own people and drawings.
