In May 2020, We updated the app for previous once off payment or pre installed users to our new Free/Base version of DrawboardPDF.
All the features in the subscription tier have never been in any other paid or free tier, so what you enjoyed from Drawboard PDF in the past is still there for you to use in perpetuity.
You’ll forever receive updates and upgrades to that too. So, as previously once off paid, now free user, you will continue getting a great app with all future updates, without needing to pay a subscription.
Q: But I was sure I had access to these functions beforehand, are you sure nothing has been removed?
A: Definitely, part of the process of changing to the free model was to ensure no capability was moved into the subscription tier.
Q: But do I get compensated for being loyal and paying for something that is now free?
A: We definitely appreciate your support and wouldn't be continuing to build and improve our app without it, but as we haven't taken anything away, we hope you stay using and getting benefit from the free/base app we have on offer.
Q: I can't afford a subscription, will other features be available to me?
A: Yes, we have a roadmap of features that will make its way into our free/base version over time and continue to improve the app.
